This is to let you know that NEW articles and updated content have recently been posted at http://www.comdsd.org/, the Web site of the San Diego-based Committee Opposed to Militarism and the Draft (COMD).
The current update includes three articles from the latest issue of COMD's printed newsletter, Draft NOtices:
- "The Military Enlistment Opportunity Act: a New Kind of Draft?," explains how H.R. 435 would create a de facto military draft for young undocumented immigrants, by Rick Jahnkow.
- "The Military's View of Counter-recruitment," by Seth Kershner, reviews reports and studies that reveal military fears and concerns about counter-recruitment activism.
- "Implications of the Sentencing in the Manning Court-martial," an assessment of the impact that the Manning case may have on future whistleblowers and war resisters in the military, by Kathy Gilberd.
In addition to the above three articles, the current printed version of Draft NOtices includes an article on domestic drones.
