Socialists Have a Victory in America: Seattle's Kshama Sawant

Both the Democrats and Republicans have squandered our democracy, economy and environment with their backing of corporate powers...and lack of respect for the American people...their welfare and safety.

In the name of profit, they have destroyed many of our Mom and Pop businesses...stolen our homes in an illegal ponzi real estate scheme hosted by banksters. Since FDR and the new deal, they have convinced us that socialism and communism were wrong (the Soviet model was not a good one...just as this country's model of capitalism and democracy are not good)....which has led to the destruction of our communities, jobs, businesses, environment...on and on.  This country used to have many socialist mayors and communist mayors.

That is how Social Security came into play.

After WWII, the socialists were labeled and destroyed by the media and its corporate masters to reverse the gains obtained by everyday people following the recovery from the depression and the gains the middle class enjoyed.

Slowly, the corporate powers have rolled back the clock to the point where we have lost most of the middle class and we are struggling with higher prices, stagnant wages and raped local economies. We are seeing a change in the American diaspora.

People are waking up to the plunder of our families and understanding that socialism is not the terrible thing that it was made out to be. People concerned for our community (communists) are not the savages that they were made out to be. A new wave is rising. A wave of justice and loss of power for the corporate elite and their stooges.

The Democratic party although very similar to the Republican party is closer to the standard of protecting everyday people. We must put pressure on them to focus on the welfare of the people instead of their corporate masters.
