Dear Carol,

The CODEPINK LA Growing A Local Peace Economy community has been collecting supplies and a group will be driving all if it from LA for delivery in Tijuana this Saturday the 29th, returning in the evening of the 30th.

We would love any San Diego CODEPINKers to join with us. We have a U-Haul truck carrying most of it and will want to ferry it across the border in cars, to deliver to the asylum seekers on Saturday and Sunday. We are also funding a hot dinner for many on Saturday night.

Let us know if you would like to join jodie@codepink.org. Read about other CODEPINKers' trips this month at codepink.org/caravan.

Thanks for all you do for peace!
Jodie

PS: Let us know if you would like to be growing your local peace economy, we are here to help.

OUR VISION & YOUR HELP! We are seeking to be an organization led by peoples of color, with strong women's leadership; an org which is multi-generational and gender diverse. We want to be builders of unity and left-progressive coalitions. In this season of giving please join as a memberand please give a sustaining contribution  Please take 2 minutes and Give NOW! so that ASD & KNSJ can be around for another 20 years plus.

Each year on Giving Tuesday, people are looking for ways to give back and support the causes that mean most to them. Giving Tuesday has become a significant giving moment for causes to raise money and create impact.

KNSJ is the only station bringing consistently progressive news, information & more local music

Your donation supports...

KNSJ 89.1 fm is just 4 1/2 years old, but we have broken new ground.  What you hear on KNSJ has never been heard on the San Diego airwaves. Without the deeper analysis and challenging perspectives, we can not expect a community to participate in shaping its destiny. KNSJ is young, yearning to become an agent of transformative information and communications.
Our syndicated programs not only tell national and international stories, we are striving to inspire local action and involvement. What other station has a local women's show, a masterfully-produced political humor show, a Vets show, several environmental shows, labor shows, a live Native American talk show, plus Democracy Now with Amy Goodman, Thom Hartman, Ralph Nader and local icon Mike Aguirre?
This year we have been adding a new locally-produced music show every month. We have just begun our quest for indispensable information in San Diego.  We need your help to blossom.  Please, Please, donate now. Your support can help transform San Diego.

Dear Carol,

Momentum is growing across the country for our "Love Knows No Borders: A moral call for migrant justice" week of action.

On Monday, Dec. 10 – Human Rights Day – more than 200 faith leaders will take part in a nonviolent direct action at the border in San Diego, California. Between then and Dec. 18, International Migrants Day, communities from Oakland, California to Denver, Colorado, to Montpelier, Vermont will host solidarity events to stand with the migrant caravans and all who seek refuge. And many more events are in the works.

We hope you join us as we call on the U.S. to end the detention and deportation of immigrants, respect the human right to migrate, and end the militarization of the border.

Here's how you can get involved in our week of action:

1. Visit our website to organize or attend an event in your community.
Congregations, community groups, and others are planning vigils, marches, visits to legislators' offices and more. If you don't see an action near you, consider organizing an event in your area. Here's a toolkit to help you plan, and we'll also provide you with one-on-one support.

2. Show your support for migrant justice.
Download our "Love Knows No Borders" graphics to share on social media, and print posters to display in your congregation, community center, school, and more. Available in English and Spanish.

3. Learn more about what's happening at the U.S.-Mexico border – and what you can do about it.
Watch this Facebook video to hear from AFSC staff at the border about what we've witnessed in our work to document human rights violations at the border and how you can get involved.

In solidarity,
