ASD launches KNSJ Streaming Internet Radio
Preparing for launch of KNSJ- FM 89.1 in Early 2013
Activist San Diego and the San Diego Community Radio Project are proud to announce the launch of Internet radio on KNSJ.org, a conduit to getting KNSJ 89.1 Descanso broadcasting over the radio airwaves in the coming months. KNSJ reporters will be playing sample audio of upcoming shows and doing live interviews during Occupy San Diego’s 1-year celebration this Saturday at Balboa Park at 6th and Nutmeg from 12 until 6 and Sunday 10 until 6 at the Midway carrier - an event sponsored by SD Vets for Peace, ASD, SDCPJ and many others. Stop the KNSJ/ASD booth one or both days and talk to us about what you would like hear or contribute on your community radio station; be interviewed live, and help make San Diego’s first progressive community radio station a success.

Can you think of a project that could have as profound an effect on the growth of the progressive community as 'Radio of the people, by the people and for the people"? We will be here for you to occupy the airwaves. KNSJ.org will be a voice for all those who have been excluded by the corporate media monopoly - and you will be a part of that effort.
You can go to KNSJ.org now to hear sample content of some of the shows to be aired on KNSJ-FM 89.1 Descanso and now playing on KNSJ Internet Radio. Several original shows have already been created include Ready for Change, Zenger’s on the Air, East County Magazine, Bob Ferris Big Band, Talk of the Town, Ecotopia Rising, Holistic Vibration, The Weekly Review and San Diego Troubador.
KNSJ is also syndicating Democracy Now! with Amy Goodman, Gay Spirit (Western New England’s longest running radio program specifically devoted to lesbian and gay issues), and a two part post of COINTELPRO 101. More syndicated shows will be added shortly/
Do not hesitate to get involved by volunteering, donating money or just stopping to say hi or voluntee at out or be interviewed live! More original content shows will also be added in the future and hope to hear from you about what shows you want to hear or what shows you want to host.
We depend 100% on your generosity! To get on the air broadcasting at 89.1 FM we need to raise at least $25,000. Become a founding member of KNSJ. Go to http://knsj.org/ and click on 'Donate". For as little as $2-20 a month you can be a founding supported and sustainer of media justice in San Diego.
