Dear Walter Come join us in petitioning for universal healthcare(SB 840) at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books on April 26-27. It will only take a couple of hours of your time. You can do it in-between some our your panels and book signings. Admission to the Festival of Books is free(Parking is $8). The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books began in 1996 and has become the largest and most prestigious book festival in t he country, attracting more than 130,000 book lovers each year. The Festival is a free public event, and includes exciting author events, storytelling, cooking demonstrations and poetry readings. The Festival of Books also includes nearly 300 exhibitor booths representing booksellers, publishers, literacy and cultural organizations. When you arrive at UCLA go to the Humanitarian Law project Booth #1022 to pick up your petitions and get instructions. If you have any spare clipboards and pens please bring them. If you are unable to petition but support our efforts, you can make a donation to our campaign here. We're making progress everyday.
