As you may know, our brothers and sisters at UFCW 135 are in a labor dispute with Food 4 Less and have been picketing and asking customers to boycott their stores. Many thanks to those of you who have already gone out and joined the picket lines over the past week!
Below is a message from one of our sisters at UFCW about a rally on Tuesday 8/12 outside one of the Food 4 Less stores. We ask everyone who is able to attend and stand in solidarity with UFCW and the Food 4 Less workers. See the message below for more detail.
Greetings Sisters and Brothers,
We are in a labor dispute against Food 4 Less and have been picketing outside their stores asking customers to boycott until we reach a fair contract. Community activists from Southeast San Diego will be holding a rally in support of our hard working Food 4 Less members and I'm hoping you will be able to join them in support. The rally is scheduled this upcoming Tuesday August 12th 11 am at the Food 4 Less in Market Creek Plaza (312 N Euclid Ave San Diego, CA 92114). We hope that you can join passionate community members and support our hard working members who don't deserve to earn less.
