[SDCPJ] EMERGENCY VIGIL FOR GAZA - Tuesday, December 30, 4 PM

Activist San Diego worked with others to initiate this vigil for Gaza.
ASD will participate in all future events which offer solidarity to innocent victims of aggression.

We encourage our supporters to take a bit of time away from their holidays to participate in Tuesday's emergency event. Calling elected officials will not be very effective unless they and the public see a public outcry against the Israeli occupation and massive bombings. It is the civilian population, which is being collectively punished for the acts of a few militants. The Bush administration has lied to us before. We must end the complicity of the Bush Administration and the US military-industrial complex. We must demand that Obama break his silence. It is time that we discuss an ongoing boycott of products coming from the occupied territories and all products which sustain an aggressive state.
  Please join us on Tuesday!

January, 24, 2008: Save The Date: ASD People's Ball in Balboa Park
Save The Date: ASD People's Ball

The "People's Ball" was started in 2000 actually called "The Counter Inaugural Ball" because of the out turn of the 2000 election and the exclusiveness of the Inaugural Ball in Washington. People came dressed in gowns and black tie to costumes of hanging chads. Since the first ball the name has changed to the People's ball. This is an event for all organizations, unions, organizers, media and community members to come together learn about each other and just kick off your shoes and celebrate.
