Adapted by Stolen Lives Project, Stolen Lives Illustrated Project (SLIP)
The mission of UAPTSD's mobilizations is to keep alive the county list of recorded people killed by law enforcement agents from 1980 to the present. Through grassroots efforts, over 200 local cases were documented.
http://uaptsd.org/victims/victims-murdered-by-sd-law-enforcement/
Although just the tip of the iceberg, these 200+ LOCAL cases are evidence of a horrifying national epidemic of police terror. The victims of police violence were part of our society, but rarely are their lives or names publicized, or the real circumstances surrounding their deaths investigated and made known. The Stolen Lives Project aims to restore some dignity to the lives lost. Though their lives have been stolen from us, we will not allow them to be forgotten.

Nationwide vigil for Tamir Rice & All wrongfully killed by law enforcement
https://www.facebook.com/events/1525421211051687/?notif_t=plan_user_joinedUnited Against Police Terror - San Diego uaptsd.org and Coalition Against Police Violence thecapv.org/ in solidarity with #4MileMarch's call of action, will be hosting a candlelight vigil to draw attention to the wrongful killings of our youth by Law Enforcement, To show support for Families of Police Victims, and To Demand Accountability of all Law Enforcement.
The nationwide 4 Mile March peaceful protests around the country and in Canada on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day gained national attention in demanding police reform and speaking for those who no longer have a voice.
Candlelight vigils are seen as a nonviolent way to raise awareness of a cause and to motivate change. While Tamir's death received some national attention the case remains open and many citizens are not aware of the circumstances surrounding his death. Many have become desensitized to deaths of unarmed, innocent individuals and apathetic to injustice.
On February 22, 2015, exactly 3 months after Tamir was shot, we will hold a national vigil. We ask that you help bring awareness of the epidemic of deaths caused by law enforcement. Bring awareness to the pending case of Tamir Rice and demand that justice is served and police reform be made a reality.
It is important to keep pushing for justice in Tamir's case. Unjust rulings have been made on the cases of little 7 year old Aiyana Stanley-Jones, shot in the head by a police officer while she was sleeping and 14 year old Andy Lopez, who was also shot by police for carrying a toy gun. His case failed to get national attention.
We mourn the loss of these children and it is time to demand justice and law enforcement reform. Too many officers blatantly lie to cover up taking an innocent life and are still allowed in our streets to "protect and serve".
It is time for America to WAKE UP!
We ask for the nation to come together - white, black, latino, whatever race you are, and take a stand that says it is not acceptable for police to to kill a 12 year old child. Tell the world that an officer who is deemed emotionally unfit to serve should not be allowed on our streets. Unite as one to light a candle for Tamir and the many children, men and women wrongfully killed by police in America.
Tell the world that Tamir could be your son, your brother, your friend.

Marcha en solidaridad con AYOTZINAPA y BUAP
Mexican Consulte of San Diego
1549 India Street, San Diego, Ca 92101
SAN DIEGO PRESENTE LA SOLIDARIDAD CON LAS FAMILIAS DE AYOTZINAPA:
February 26th marks the 5 month anniversary of the forced disappearance of our 43 students. We are marching not only to honor and stand with the families and mothers of our missing students, but to honor the fallen human rights activist Gustavo Salgado, unjustly killed by the same narcogovernment. They continue to lie to the faces of the families about the identification of remains and have still not provided a single cohesive answer. We are standing with the families in solidarity, that we do not believe the lies either, we know the truth that it was the STATE. We are marching for JUSTICE, for TRUTH, because we want them back alive! IF NBC WON'T PUT AYOTZINAPA IN THE NEWS, WE WILL MAKE THEM PUT AYOTZINAPA IN THE NEWS. As things get progressively worse, we are officially stating that we are also marching in support of the students of BUAP as well. all people young and old are essential for an effective movement towards a mexican spring. the people will not be silenced and we will not back down!

Remember to connect what's happening at a national level is also happening in San Diego, The same issues that were exposed in Ferguson are in San Diego. The system of power, White Supremacy, is well and alive in San Diego, hurting marginalized communities. Let's make sure we seek justice for them. Let's end the occupation of our communities by Police.
