    Greetings!

Here are some helpful tips for writing an effective event invitation quickly and easily.
First, tell invitees why you're contacting them. For example, you can say "You're invited to our next monthly educational seminar for clients." Next, provide a general event summary, such as "It's a festive evening of fun and dancing under the stars, with great food and exciting raffle prizes." Keep this information to the "high points" — you can go into more detail on the event homepage.
Tell them to click on the link below to register or RSVP.
    Register Now!
Here, provide contact information if invitees have any questions about the event or how to register.
Finally, thank them for their attention and response, and tell them you look forward to seeing them at your event.
    Sincerely,
    Peter Brown

Peace Heroes Walk is a joint initiative between the21st Century Peace Literacy Foundation and San Diego Rotarians. Peace heroes are people from all walks of life who have taken risks to embody nonviolent ideas (justice, reconciliation, interconnection and rejection of vengeance) and have succeeded in making the world a less violent and more just place. We will honor heroes like Martin Luther King, Ghandi, Malala, Dalai Lama, Mandela, Pope Francis, Rosa Parks, John Lennon and Mohamed Ali.

While Peace Heroes Walks have been held in other cities, this will be the first time for San Diego and we want you to be a part of it.

    peaceheroeswalk.org/san-diego-peace-heroes-walk/

    The walk's mission is threefold:
    — to promote peace literacy through peace hero stories
    — to inspire a new generation of peace leaders, and
    — to plan for next year's San Diego Peacebuilders Walk that will support local organizations working toward peace in the world.

Wear your favorite peace themed T-shirt.  We invite you to wear shirts that are non-partisan and non-polarizing.

We sincerely appreciate your interest in promoting peace literacy and hope to have you join us on our mission to create a more peaceful world.

May peace be upon us all,

Now more than ever, the times demand that we resist US drone assassinations and perpetual wars!
    WE MUST RESIST!
Please join CODEPINK, Veterans For Peace, Nevada Desert Experience, and Voices for Creative Nonviolence for this crucial protest at Creech Air Force Base.  In each of the last two years, nearly 150 activists, including over 50 veterans, joined us from 20 different states across the country.  In a series of imaginative nonviolent direct actions, involving the arrest of dozens of activists, we were able to disrupt business as usual. We would not have been so successful without the many ways everyone contributed.  At this crucial point in history, please help make SHUT DOWN CREECH 2017 an even more powerful stance against drone killing and global militarism.  Encourage your friends and relatives to come and "stand with" our Muslim sisters & brothers in the circle of life!
Please Contact Us and let us know how we can make Shut Down Creech even better in 2017!
