On this day, thousands of students must walk out of school, take over buildings and go on strike at colleges and high schools nationwide. People must gather and march in cities all across the U.S. The normal routine of this society includes wanton police murder of Black and Brown people. Everyone must disrupt that normal routine.

Our demands are clear:

* The murder of Black and Brown people by the police MUST STOP.

* Justice for all the victims of brutal, murdering police.

* Indict, convict and send killer cops to jail—the whole damn system is guilty as hell.

* Stop the repression targeting the protests—Drop all the charges against all those arrested.

These women are our sisters, daughters, mothers, friends....these women are us. They are Aiyana Stanley-Jones, Rekia Boyd, Miriam Carey, Kristina Coignard, Tarika Wilson, Jessica Hernandez and the list goes on.

Join us in solidarity with other cities nationwide as we hold a Candlelight Silent Processional for the women who are victims of police brutality. We will meet at the Rosa Parks Recreational Park and then hold a silent candle procession.

Keynote Speakers Brandon Duncan and Aaron Harvey  Brandon (Tiny Doo) Duncan and Aaron Harvey were two of many young black men recently arrested and charged with "conspiring" with gang members under CA Penal Code Sec. 182.5.  This law makes a person who has been identified as a gang member by police (even if not a gang member, but falsely listed) or supports gangs (rap lyrics) responsible for any crime committed by a gang member.  The injustice was so obvious that a San Diego judge dismissed the charges against Brandon and Aaron on March 15, but many others remain charged and in jail for crimes the D.A. knows they did not commit.

Mohammad Mosaddegh - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mohammad Mosaddegh or Mosaddiq^[a] (Persian: مُحَمَد مُصَدِق‎; IPA: [mohæmˈmæd(-e) mosædˈdeɣ] ( listen);^[b] 16 June 1882 – 5 March 1967), was an Iranian politician. He was the democratically elected^[1][2][3] Prime Minister of Iran from 1951 until 1953, when his government was overthrown in a coup d'état orchestrated by the AmericanCentral Intelligence Agency and the British Secret Intelligence Service.^[4][5]

An author, administrator, lawyer, prominent parliamentarian, his administration introduced a range of progressive social and political reforms such as social security, rent control, and land reforms.^[6] His government's most notable policy, however, was the nationalization of the Iranian oil industry, which had been under British control since 1913 through the Anglo-Persian Oil Company (APOC / AIOC) (later British Petroleum and BP).^[7]

Mosaddeq is regarded^{[by whom?]} as the leading champion of secular democracy and resistance to foreign domination in Iran's modern history. Mosaddegh was removed from power in a coup on 19 August 1953, organised and carried out by the CIA at the request of MI6, which chose Iranian General Fazlollah Zahedi to succeed Mosaddegh.^[8]

While the coup is commonly referred to as Operation Ajax^[9] after its CIA cryptonym, in Iran it is referred to as the 28 Mordad 1332 coup, after its date on the Iranian calendar.^[10] Mosaddegh was imprisoned for three years, then put under house arrest until his death and was buried in his own home so as to prevent a political furor.

On March 15, 2015 the collective received a letter from the UCSD administration stating that it will now go ahead and post the final eviction order, the 5-day notice to vacate our home of 35 years, the C.H.E. Café . The UCSD administration did post the order sometime on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. After the 5 days, the administration may bring in law enforcement officers to enact a lock out and/or forcibly remove anybody choosing to not vacate voluntarily.

THE APPEAL THE COLLECTIVE FILED OF THE EVICTION LAWSUIT RULING IS STILL PENDING A RULING FROM THE APPELLATE COURT !

We would like you, University and State officials, to know that we endorse the following points and encourage you to do all you can to facilitate their fulfillment.

1) We support the C.H.E. Café continuing to function as it has for the past 35 years--a unique and invaluable asset to the University, representing diversity at it's finest and most inclusive.
2) We support the C.H.E. Café Collective continuing as the operator of the CHE Café as it has for the past 35 years.
3) We support the "National Register listing" of the C.H.E. Café and the appropriateness of the "historic occupants," the C.H.E. Café Collective, to continue the site's historic use.

where we began in canyons of North County, Carlsbad. This past week we
continued visits with "jornaleros", water in desert, immigration Tuesday
and today we had our monthly "First Immigration Sunday's @ Friendship
Park" thank you immigration attorney Helene Collins, we had more than 20
cases today, thanks also to Roberto and Yolanda.

CAFE BUILDING IS SAFE AND COMPLIES WITH THE FIRE CODE: Members of the Che Cafe Support Network passed out an info sheet at the recent UCSD Associated Students and Graduate Students Association Council meetings. It is worth quoting:   “Under both UC policy and the state Fire Code (which is adopted as UC policy), the CHE Cafe building is EXEMPT from any requirement for retrofits for automatic fire sprinklers. This means that the UCSD administration’s estimate that student fees must be used to pay over $300,000 for sprinklers is incorrect. This also means that the building is legally safe for occupancy (as it has always been) for 170 people in the assembly room (per Fire Marshal posted legal notice). In other words, the UCSD administration’s public posture since Spring of 2014 — that for fire “safety” the CHE Cafe Collective lease must be terminated, that the collective must be evicted, and that the building must not be used for concerts, events and meetings — has NO legal basis. None of the other maintenance/repairs work cited by the administration are any reason to shut down the Cafe, except during (perhaps) some of the actual construction work.”   The info sheet goes on to give the UC policy and state Fire Code links that prove there is no safety problem at the Che Cafe. Click here to see the info sheet on the Fire Code.   In other words, THERE IS NO REASON TO SHUT DOWN THE C.H.E. The UCSD administration just LIED about it. The termination of the C.H.E. Cafe Collective’s lease was based on a lie. The lawsuit to evict the collective — after it refused to vacate the space when the lease was terminated — was based on a lie.     1992 Sit-in at UCSD General Store Coop Against Eviction attempt by UCSD administration.
