Attached are 2 flyers for events organized to protest the appearance of Supreme Court Justice Scalia at the State Bar Convention in San Diego. He is speaking at a luncheon on Thursday, September 11, and we (National Lawyers Guild and Women Occupy San Diego) are planning a demonstration outside the Hyatt beginning at 11:30 a.m.
In addition. we are having a forum on The Supreme Court's War on Women, Minorities and Workers at California Western School of Law on Thursday, September 4, beginning at 7 pm. Speakers will talk about the horrible SCOTUS decisions on women (Hobby Lobby, etc.), civil rights (voting rights, affirmative action), workers rights and, of course, Citizens United.
