Subject: [Occupysd] Join Nurses Tomorrow June 5 @ 10:30am Susan Davis' office

Please join us!
Tomorrow San Diego nurses are holding an event outside Congresswoman Susan Davis' office to appeal to her to vote no on Fast Track.  The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is a major international trade deal shrouded in secrecy, and poses a major threat to all of our health and safety laws.  It could vastly restrict affordability of prescription medications, and essentially override many of our laws and regulations.  See the attached flier.  The Senate has already voted to allow a 'fast track' vote.  We are appealing to House members to vote no to 'fast track' and to demand transparency before any vote on the deal.  The House is likely to vote next week.   Would be great if you can join us!  Will last about 45 mins to an hour.  Please wear red and bring a friend!

Top 5 Reasons RNs Oppose TPP & Fast Track:
1.  Reducing Access to Affordable Medications
2.  Exposing Americans to Unsafe Food Products
3.  Eroding Public Health Laws and Services
4.  Curbing Limits on Pollution and Other Environmental Hazards
5.  Undermining Democracy and National Sovereignty

See you there!

In Solidarity,
