[SDCPJ] Support Patients Rights this 4/20! Celebrate Queer Cannabis with Canvass for a Cause!

YOU'RE INVITED!

On Saturday April 20, Canvass for a Cause is COMING OUT for GRASS-ROOTS activism! Join us as we celebrate the California queer community's victory in legalizing medical marijuana for HIV/AIDs patients in 1996. This event will act as a fundraiser in support of Christie's Place, a local HIV/AIDs organization, and court support for medical cannabis patients! RSVP HERE!

::NIGHT TO INCLUDE::
  • HOOKAH lounge (free hookah all night!)

  • RAFFLES with glass pieces, gift certificates, local art and more

  • GAYming CORNER with pictionary, suspend & cards against humanity

  • PATIENTS VIDEO CORNER - COMING OUT FOR CANNABIS! Record your story of why you support medical cannabis, or how it has helped you as a patient!

  • FREE DRINKS (non-alcoholic; BYOB)

  • LOCAL FOOD vendor selling yummy treats all night! Vegan and Vegetarian friendly

This is an 18 years and older event. If you wish to medicate at the event, please bring your doctor's recommendation or state card.

DONATION / ENTRANCE FEE

If you would like to attend, you can now reserve your ticket online!

  • One-for-$15
  • 2-for-$20 'bring a friend' special!
Whether or not you can make it, please consider donating to the cause! Your money will support women and families with HIV/AIDs in San Diego, and court support for patients like Deborah and Dennis Little. Recently, we mobilized the public to make more than 100 phone calls in support of the Littles. You can see pictures from the recent court support we organized here.

*CFAC is sadly inaccessible to wheelchairs or anyone who is physically limited from using stairs. We deeply apologize and hope to amend this soon. Until then, check out this zine (.pdf format) from people with all different abilities to understand the struggle of our alter-abled sisters, brothers and non-binary family.

**CFAC is a SAFE SPACE where we fight ALL OPPRESSIONS. Practice respect! We will have VIBE WATCHERS available for anyone to approach about unwanted attention, negative situations that make you feel uncomfortable, or anything racist, sexist, transphobic, homophobic, ableist, ageist, etc.
