SB 649 (Leno): Letter of Support for Drug Penalty Reform

Dear friends & allies, Last month I let you know that Senator Mark Leno was about to introduce a bill (SB 649) to revise the penalty for drug possession for personal use. I'm attaching here a draft letter of support (with instructions). Please submit a letter by May 25th to help revise harsh penalties and preserve resources for drug treatment and other more effective and cost-effective approaches to drug abuse.
