This award-winning film shows how the Israeli occupation affects everyday life
in Palestine. Welcome to Hebron tells the story of Leila, a 17-year old Pales-
tinian woman. Leila does not fit the Western stereotype of an Arab woman who
is weak and victimized. She is strong, intelligent, outspoken and living her daily
life freely. However the Israeli occupation leaves Leila and her classmates vul-
nerable to regular attacks and harassment by Israeli soldiers and settlers alike.
