[SDCPJ] Vigil Against Anti-LGBTQ Bulling, Friday, June 29, 5 p.m.

Every half an hour in the United States, a child is taking their life as a direct result of bullying. We can change that through education & understanding. As we inform the public about the FAIR Education Act and how it stops bullying, we also want to take time to recognize those who have brought us here. The dreams denied thousands of LGBTQ youth who never had the chance to live, happily, with their identity, expression, & beauty. We will let our colors fly & share stories on how we can change the lives of our upcoming generations for the better.

Join Canvass for a Cause & SAME to share your stories, find resources*, & protect the FAIR Education Act!

The FAIR Education Act is a bill signed by the California Governor in July 2010. This bill adds more civil rights history to high school history classes, teaching about movements and leaders who have brought equality to the people. It also reduces bullying rates by 15% in the first year! Unfortunately, this landmark legislation is under attack by the same groups that funded Proposition 8. Don't sign the CLASS Act!

Let's gather together and rise up in voice and spirit for equality for all of our LGBTQ brothers, sisters & non-binary family.

Friday, June 29, 5 p.m., 2901 North Park Way, San Diego 92104
