[SDCPJ] URGENT - Appeal to San Diego progressives - reclaim our rights and flag - today

I appeal to you as a San Diego progressive and activist and someone who loves this country. Right here in San Diego, the values that make this country great are under attack ... by the very people who are paid to protect us... the San Diego Police. Their unconstitutional harassment and arrests of Occupy San Diego activists attempting to exercise the First Amendment has become too outrageous for us to sit silently by. Police within the last 36 hours have seized an American flag out of the hands of a veteran - saying the pole was too thick, arrested a person for burning sage in the Plaza, violently choked a videographer filming another arrest ... the list goes on. Local veterans have called for a protest today - Friday the 23rd of Dec - at 4pm - to gather at 4th and B in downtown San Diego to reclaim our flag. All progressives - those who can - must join with our vets to assert the Bill of Rights and our American flag. Please join us - this is urgent.
