Verdin brought to light
the problems in Southern Louisiana with her exhibit
Disappearing
Landscapes. One of the most disturbing facts is that her
people, the
Houma, are not federally recognized. This recognition would give
more
protection to their land. THEY NEED 19,000 signatures by
tomorrow!
