Bill Fletcher, Jr. is Director of Field
Services and Education for the American
Federation of Government Employees,
Executive Editor of BlackCommentator.com,
and Co-Founder of the Center for Labor
Renewal. He was formerly the Education
Director and later Assistant to the President
of the AFL-CIO.


Fernando Gapasin, nephew of the legendary

Filipino labor organizer, Philip Vera Cruz, former Vice President

of the United Farm Workers, is President of the Central Oregon Labor Council and General. 
He currently teaches at the University of Oregon. He was the principal researcher of the AFL-CIOs Union Cities program and former faculty at the National Labor College (Labor Studies), Penn State (Industrial Relations), and UCLA (Chicana/o Studies).
