Voices of Women In collaboration with the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice (IPJ) at the University of San Diego invite you to attend a Cultural Evening to Support the Afghan Women's Educational Center (AWEC), located in Kabul, Afghanistan On October 14, 2008, commencing at 6:00pm in the Rotunda of the Institute for Peace & Justice, view photographs of Afghan refugees presented by the AjA Project, while listening to Afghan music performed by John January and The Brothers Nasrat. At 7:00pm in the Auditorium, two esteemed speakers, Captain Margaret G. Kibben of the Chaplain Corps of the United States Navy and Kabul native, Nazi Etemadi will present their stories on the needs of women and children in Afghanistan. The event is free. Donations to AWEC will be gratefully accepted. The IPJ is located at 5998 Alcalá Park on the University of San Diego campus.
