Society of Professional Journalists  Presents:
 
'Blogapalooza: Ethical Issues Online'
 
 
San Diego SPJ Pro Chapter members will celebrate Ethics Week with their favorite bloggers at "Blogapalooza: Ethical Issues Online." 
 
Scott Lewis, the editor of voiceofsandiego.org and a San Diego SPJ board member, will moderate what should be a boisterous discussion of the blogosphere.
 
Five local bloggers will talk about how they handle news on blogs, whether they have a freer rein than they do when writing for traditional media, whether the rules are different for bloggers than for other journalists, and much more. 
 
The blogapaloozers will include:
 
·      Chris Reed, San Diego Union-Tribune editorial writer and author of " America 's Finest Blog" (weblog.signonsandiego.com/weblogs/afb/)
·      Dave Rolland, editor of San Diego City Beat (www.sdcitybeat.com)
·      Pat Flannery, author of Blog of San Diego (www.blogofsandiego.com)
·      Bradley Fikes, North County Times staff writer and author of the Festering Swamp blog (www.festeringswamp.com)
·      Joe Gandelman, editor in chief of The Moderate Voice (www.themoderatevoice.com)
 
When: Thursday, April 24, 6:30 p.m. reception, 7 p.m. program.
 
Where: The San Diego Union-Tribune, first-floor auditorium, 350 Camino de la Reina, in Mission Valley .  Cost: Free.
