Annual SDVAN Potluck Lunch

  • This is your SDVAN Annual Holiday Potluck Lunch Reminder. Join us in our once a year THANKS Feast: Tuesday Dec 9, 2008 11 am to 3 pm. Back by popular demand: Costume Jewelry Exchange (men's and women's repurposed). New this year: Art Card Sales Opportunity (no commission just bring your cards to sell or exchange). Please bring a dish or drink of your choice serving approx. 8 people. Our thanks to Judith D'Agostino for the use of her image above. As always the party is held at 2487 Montgomery Avenue, Cardiff by the Sea, Ca 92007. RSVP, please, so we have an idea of numbers. patricia@SDVisualArts.net 760.943.0148.
  • NEW! A+ Art Blog - Big turkey dinner coming up? There is always room for Hungry for Chinese Art, a look at the new Saatchi Gallery in London plus a slightly closer but still eastward look at the Palm Springs Museum of Art by Patricia Frischer, the coordinator of SDVAN.
  • NEW October RAW Gossip Column report by Alexandra Rosa shows just how active the art scene is right now. We may be affected by the recession but artists continue to astonish us with their productivity. THANKS to all the venues which support them and THANKS to Ally for getting us informed.
  • Remember submit your December events for PICKED RAW before the end of November. Branching Out in our Picked RAW section will feature new resources just listed for the first time on SDVAN. Both are edited by Georgia Hoopes.
  • Please consider becoming more involved with SDVAN by giving of your time and expertise, Please feel free to contact us with suggestions or questions. We are now looking for volunteers for the second phase of our Movers and Shakers project.

Please note that everyone is invited to attend our committee meetings. Mark your calendar on Sunday, February 8 from to 4 pm to 6 pm when we will experiment with our first weekend gathering. We hope this will allow many of you who work during the day to become more involved with SDVAN. Our February meeting is traditionally a brainstorming meeting for projects for the new year.
